Pre-Litigation and Early-Litigation Medical Case Analysis for Plaintiff and Defense Law Firms
Independent, physician-led medical case reviews focused on case viability, clinical decision-point analysis, and standard-of-care clarity.
Medical Case Consulting works with law firms during the pre-litigation and early litigation phases to provide clear, independent medical insight before cases become over-resourced or over-positioned.
The focus is on identifying clinically relevant issues, reconstructing medical decision-making in real time, and distinguishing defensible care from true areas of risk—so firms can make informed strategy decisions early.

How care aligns with emergency medicine standard of care
Frequently used to guide early strategy, discovery planning, and expert selection.

Clarification of medical issues driving case value
Strategic guidance without unnecessary reporting
Available as a standalone service or as an adjunct to written analysis.
Services are intended for pre-litigation and early litigation use.

About Medical Case Consulting
Medical Case Consulting is led by Karl Yousef, MD, a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician based in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. Yousef brings extensive experience from high-acuity, high-liability clinical environments, including Level I trauma centers, county hospitals, and academic training sites. His background includes real-time management of complex trauma, cardiac and neurologic emergencies, pediatric critical care, orthopedic injuries, and time-sensitive diagnostic decision-making.
This clinical experience informs a consulting approach grounded in how medicine is actually practiced under pressure. The focus is on reconstructing medical decisions as they occurred, identifying what information was available at the time, and assessing whether care was clinically reasonable within that context.
Medical Case Consulting was created to support law firms during the pre-litigation and early litigation phases, where timely, independent medical insight can meaningfully influence case strategy, resource allocation, and outcomes. The emphasis is on clarity, efficiency, and honest clinical assessment, not volume-driven or testimony-first work.
Dr. Yousef works with both plaintiff and defense firms, providing neutral, physician-led analysis intended to help attorneys understand the medical issues that truly drive risk and value in a case.
